The gal behind Pursuit 19

Somerset Peede is the founder and principal contractor for Pursuit 19 Music Services. Since 2016, she has played music professionally around the world in a variety of settings. Orchestrally, she has performed with organisations such as the Nashville Ballet and National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center (USA); London Symphony Orchestra (UK); Sydney Philharmonia, and Sydney Scoring Orchestra (AUS). Somerset has also completed quartet/chamber music residencies with peers in Germany, Italy, and Singapore, and recorded numerous soundtracks for film and television.

“From beautiful wedding ceremonies to sold out auditoriums, I believe that every musical performance is imbued with a special purpose: bringing people together. Music can change the entire mood of an event, and that’s why I believe it’s so important to talk to clients in-depth about the music they envision for their special occasion.

After 10 years of casually contracting and being contracted for special events behind the scenes, I founded my very own business—Pursuit 19 Music Services—so that I could do what I love full-time. For me, a career in special events music is not just a job, it is something that I am very passionate about.
